The goal is to translate these sounds into visual forms within the typeface, capturing the rhythm and sensory qualities of rain. The typeface design reflects the fluid and changing nature of rain, emphasizing its dynamic aspects. Ultimately, the project explores the connection between sound and form, creating a visual representation of the auditory experience.

이 프로젝트는 자연의 다섯 가지 기본 요소 중 하나인 빗소리에서 영감을 받은 서체를 디자인하는 데 중점을 둡니다. 특히 빗방울이 떨어지거나 지표면에 부딪히는 소리 등 빗소리의 다양한 특성을 한국어 의성어를 사용하여 탐구합니다. 이러한 소리를 서체 내에서 시각적 형태로 변환하여 비의 리듬과 감각적 특성을 포착하는 것이 목표입니다. 서체 디자인은 비의 유동적이고 변화무쌍한 특성을 반영하여 역동적인 측면을 강조합니다. 궁극적으로 이 프로젝트는 소리와 형태 사이의 연관성을 탐구하여 청각적 경험을 시각적으로 표현합니다.

이 말은 비가 계속적으로 가볍게 내리는 소리, 보통 가랑비처럼 가볍게 내리는 소리를 일컫습니다.
이 단어는 빗방울이 꾸준히 떨어지기 시작하는 이미지를 연상시켜주며, 크게 튀는 폭우와 달리 부드럽고 오래 지속되는 조용한 소리의 이미지를 반영하여 디자인했습니다.

이것은 빗방울이 땅에 부딪혀 쌓이면서 점점 무거워지는 빗소리를 묘사하는 의성어입니다.
물이 빠르게 대지를 적시면서 빗방울이 점점 커지는 리듬을 만들어 고이기 시작하면서 더욱 풍성하고 울림이 큰 소리를 내는 등 비가 강해지는 느낌을 전달하기 위해 디자인을 하였습니다.

It’s typically used when rain falls so hard and fast that it soaks through clothes, creating a sound that’s loud and overwhelming.
The term also reflects the environmental impact of such intense rain—blurring visibility, causing traffic congestion, and increasing the sounds of car horns as people struggle to move through the storm.

이 용어는 강한 바람을 동반한 폭우 소리를 나타냅니다.
일반적으로 비가 너무 세고 빠르게 내려 옷이 젖을 정도로 크고 압도적인 소리를 낼 때 사용됩니다.
또한 폭우로 인해 시야가 흐려지고 교통 혼잡이 발생하며 사람들이 폭풍우를 뚫고 이동하기 위해 애쓰면서 자동차 경적 소리가 커지는 환경적 영향을 반영하여 디자인했습니다.
